On Wednesday I went to see LCD Soundsystem play at the Birmingham Academy with a couple of mates. The warm up band (whoever they were) were pretty bad. They were very much based on the white stripes, but with even less musicality. To be honest though I was told a soundcheck was only done for LCD, so I guess that didn’t help.

Anyway, LCD rocked! I’ve never really given them much of a listen (in retrospect no really too sure why), but the sound was great, James Murphy (creator of the band) put on a great show, most of the folk there were dancing like fools and generally having a great time! except for a couple who stood like statues infront of us… the guy looked genuinly scared and was holding his girlfriend so tight his knuckles were white. (we did prod him at one point to see what happened, alas, he did not respond..)

anyone who hasn’t heard much of LCD soundsystem I’d strongly recommend you go see them as they’re touring for the next couple months. I’d best describe their sound as Dance-Punk-Funk.. and boy you’d better get on your dancing shoes.. that’s right grandad.

As you might have noticed, the blog never actually got up and running, mainly down the fact I never finished programming it.
After looking at it this morning, I figured even though I loved the design ( you can view it here ), I just didn’t have the time (or motivation) to get it completed.

Anyhooo.. You’ll notice I’ve taken the lazy option and instead of starting from scratch, I’ve stolen a design.. wohooo!
I think it look pretty sh*t if I’m honest, but I know it works, I can type stuff into it, and -hopefully- people will be able to comment too!
