really?.. brazil nuts come from these?..

I recently discovered that brazil nuts come in clusters from a hard brown shell [fruit]… bizarre.
Don’t ask me where I thought they came from previously to now…

My lesson today:
A brazil nut is a seed from a fruit.
The fruit belongs to the tropical American evergreen tree, which is found in abundance in the Amazonian rain forest.

when the fruit is cracked open, the seeds [brazil nuts] are contained within in.
