Evernote, remember everything – Online & Mobile Bookmarking Software – GTD

*evernote image*

I created an account with Evernote a long time ago, when it was still in private invite/beta I’m sure. However, I’ve never really used it (whether at home or at work, I’d normally just use blinklist – one of the most useful sites I know, but also one of the most unreliable :@, or I’d just jot it down on some paper).

The idea behind the software is to allow people to store and retrieve all kinds of notes (web pages, photos, contact details, to-do lists, etc). Not really that ground breaking I know, but some of their technology is kickass. For example, you could write “stupid looking hat” on a post it note, take a photo on your phone and upload it, and when searching for “stupid”, “looking” or “hat” [at home, at work, or on your phone] it would be able to search and index your own handwriting!

Anyway, I genuinely feel that their service is fairly useless unless you have a mobile device that can surf and pick up the web with ease (iPhone’s, Blackberry’s, etc).. at which point it would become stupidly useful.

It’s totally FREE to use (within reason – storage limits), although they do have a premium offering- if you’ll clear up your notes and what not you’ll not need to pay :p

I have demonoid invites..

hey,

Just a quick one to say recently someone gave me a demonoid invite (which I’d been after for a long time). I’d like to return the favour, and so I’ve managed to get some invite codes to hand out.

If you want one just let me know :)

Show Me How To Play.com – Online Tutorials Website For Musicians

show me how to play.com

Just stumbled onto this site and have to say I’m pretty impressed.
A nicely structured site with good visual appearance, and a great concept called the “Multiplayer” – a great way to learn to play each instrument in a track.

show me how to play.com

Each part has it’s own individual video, all of which play in sync, but allowing the user to solo specific videos to learn one instrument at a time.

They also look to have a decent Lessons area, which allows the user to play tutorial videos on how to play guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, etc.

showmehowtoplay.com

Would be a great site if this was all there for a price of “£crap-all”, but hey, they’ve got to make money somehow… right?..

Correct, so they’re charging a fee of 0.99p to download a full video to your computer – which to be honest isn’t too bad at all in comparison to booking a £20+ lesson with a real-life tutor, and it saves you the petrol fare, and lugging your kit around with you. Providing you have an internet connection (and something tells me you just might have) then you can pick up and play right now!

Where can I find out more?!
