PostSecret – This weeks top picks..

I’m sure I’ve covered Sunday Secrets before (?), but simply put, it’s a public domain for peoples inner secrets. People Anonymously create / send postcards to a real life address to a guy named Frank Warren, who then selectively puts them onto a blog every Sunday – you can even buy books compiled solely of this art work! (see amazon links)

I love the concept, the idea of being able to open up and ‘get something off your chest’ for the whole world to see, without consequence. Personally, I’m a very ‘open’ person anyway, but reading other peoples secrets is a really odd experience!

Here are a couple of picks from this weeks post:

Fig Crumbs – Everyday Insanity To Ease The Monday-Friday Pain

excerpt from fig crumbs

I love it when I randomly come across a good writer, story, or even just random garblings which I find hilarious.
Yesterday I found a blog titled “Fig Crumbs” which proves to be all of the above!

Mostly made from random entries, which normally take up no more than a couple of lines, but stupidly entertaining :D

The blog is written by a guy name Michael Crowe, who claims to be a “military sock pairer” or similar (although I’ll have to double check this as I’m going from memory due to blogger being down, as is techcrunch, mashable, and googlemail?? very odd.. maybe I need to reboot…)

A couple of posts that I enjoyed were -45 to 50 million & Them and then Them.

I added the link to his main page in my blogroll, so feel free to go check out the rest of his bits :)

Should You Be Laughing At This? – by Hugleikur Dagsson

Should I Be Laughing At This

This sketch is by a guy named Hugleikur Dagsson, and believe it or not, there’s a whole book full of these little gems!

There’s plenty of choice here, from incest to cannibalism, most of which would be deemed “politically incorrect” to say the least!

You know you’re onto a good thing when The Sun give such a raving review as “Ban this sick book”!

You can buy it here: Should You Be Laughing At This?
